Strengthening of Maternal and Child Health Care Services
The project was initiated to strengthen health care services for women and children in rural areas of Mandvi Taluka in Kutch District. Objectives of the project can be enlisted as below.
  • To improve health status of women and children
  • To ensure safe delivery practices in the villages
  • To reduce IMR and MMR in villages
  • To strengthen TBAs
  • To generate health awareness among rural people
  • To promote family planning among eligible couples
  • The project funded by The HANS Foundation has been initiated since May 2011. A survey of TBAs, health check up for children, training to TBAs, village health meetings, monthly meetings with TBAs etc. are being conducted under this project.
The HANS Karuna Swasthya Pariyojana
For providing health services to women and children of remote villages of Mandvi Taluka of Kutch, a health programme has been introduced recently. A well equipped mobile dispensary with doctor and nurse, instruments and medicines visits selected villages to provide treatment to women and children. Pregnant women and nursing mothers are given special attendance. Medicines are provided free of cost to the patients of selected villages.
