Health and Wellness

RDRC is implementing the Aarogya Vahan initiative in Dholaka taluka, Ahmedabad district, sponsored by Cybage Asha. This mobile dispensary aims to address issues of extreme poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, lack of medical services, and poor health among women and children in selected villages. Launched on July 1st, 2019, the Cybage Asha Aarogya Vahan continues its mission to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities.
Initiated to bolster healthcare provisions for women and children in rural areas of Mandvi Taluka, Kachchh District, this project aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Improve the health status of women and children
- Ensure safe delivery practices in villages
- Reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR)
- Strengthen Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs)
- Generate health awareness among rural communities
- Promote family planning among eligible couples
Funded by The HANS Foundation, the project has been operational since May 2011. Activities include surveys of TBAs, health check-ups for children, TBA training sessions, village health meetings, and monthly gatherings with TBAs to ensure the project’s success.

Introduced two years ago, The HANS Karuna Swasthya Pariyojana aims to deliver healthcare services to women and children residing in remote villages of Mandvi and Bhachau Taluka in Kachchh. To date, over 50,000 patients have received free treatment through the initiative’s five mobile dispensaries and one health center.
These mobile dispensaries, staffed with doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, regularly visit selected villages to provide medical care, with a special focus on pregnant women and nursing mothers. Additionally, free medicines are provided to patients from these villages, ensuring access to essential healthcare services without financial burden.
